The Triton alloy is a new proprietary (patent pending) alloy developed by NeoMetrics. The Triton alloy is a "next generation" form of nitinol and retains the superelastic properties of nitinol but has a 40% higher bending modulus than nitinol.

According to bench testing, when compared to traditional nitinol this should result in:

• Superior support profile for delivering interventional devices
• Better column strength for excellent pushability to reach target treatment areas
• Superior torqueability for steerability in challenging cases
